Q: What makes JNR different than all the other companies?

A: JNR's main priority is doing things once and doing it right. Unlike many companies, our sealer is a premium, non-watered down asphalt emulsion mix. We take great pride in our preparation, ensuring oil spots, dirt, and overgrown edges are taken care of prior to sealing. We also have 24/7 text message support and always go the extra mile to make sure our customers are informed, satisfied, and don't just feel like another number in the system.
Q: How long do I have to stay off my driveway after it gets sealed?

A: 48 hours is the recommended time to stay off the driveway after sealing
Q: How much does it cost?

A: Cost is heavily dependent on size, condition, and prep time. A standard 2k sq/ft driveway that has been sealed within the last 2 years and is free from dirt might cost $250. A small 1k sq/ft driveway may only cost $175, whereas a larger driveway that is in rough condition with cracks will use almost twice the amount of material, which may cost around $325. Our average driveway price is $275.
Q: How often should I seal my driveway?

A: In 2022, NYS banned coal tar based sealers which typically lasted 2-3 years, this was replaced with asphalt based sealer, which lasts significantly less time. We recommend getting your driveway sealed every year, as winters cause especially significant damage/scraping to the asphalt based sealer.
Q: Do you offer military/elderly discounts?

A: Yes! We offer %10 military/elderly discounts to all retired and active military, and to those ages 70+.
Q: Is sealing my driveway really that important?

A: YES! Sealer protects the pavement from harmful UV rays and the elements. It is proven to extend the lifetime of a driveway and significantly slows the development of cracks. Sealing a driveway also completely transforms the look of a driveway, adding to your property's aesthetic value.
Q: What months do you operate?

A: We operate from mid April to late October also dependent on weather. The temperature needs to be at least 45 degrees and rising. With these colder weeks, we use a fast dry additive that rapidly accelerates the curing process. Nights also need to be no lower than 43 degrees. We will typically seal between 10am and 3pm in the second half of April and the second half of October.
Q: How much time is needed before it rains to seal?

A: This is heavily dependent on weather and sunlight , in 80+ degree weather in the sun, we can seal 3-4 hours before rainfall, if it is cooler, in a shady area, closer to 55-60 degrees, we need to give it at least 16+ hours
